Here are some easy tips to protect yourself:

• Use strong passwords and avoid default ones
• Turn off UPnP (Universal Plug and Play)
• Put smart devices on a separate Wi-Fi network
• Keep your devices updated
• Use antivirus and firewalls
• Check app permissions before giving access
• Cover your camera when not using it
• Use biometric locks like face or fingerprint
• Only collect and share the data you really need

What’s Next for Smart Technology?

Smart technology will only keep growing. With the rise of AI, more and more tasks will become digital and automatic. From homes and schools to factories and cities, smart systems will help us live, work, and move more easily.

But we must also stay aware. As these tools grow, keeping our data private and systems safe will be more important than ever.

Final Thoughts

Smart technology is making our world better, more comfortable, faster, and even safer. But like any tool, it must be used with care. If we learn how it works and protect ourselves, we can enjoy the benefits while avoiding the risks.

Project Summary 

As a part of the assessment at the university, I created this blog and discovered more about smart technology, researching more about doing primary and secondary research. Since smart technology is becoming a trend in today's IT world, I chose this topic, thinking this is the most suitable topic for my blog. The development in smart technology, the way it connects to our everyday life, the way time is saved, the way smart devices work, the function of some of the key parts, how devices are linked to each other and share information could be covered while researching this topic. 

Further under pros and cons, I could find some more advantages like convenience, saving energy, better security, automation, data, and learning. Moreover, under disadvantages, security and privacy were mostly highlighted. 

The primary research helped me to discover how well university students are aware of smart technology and which students need awareness about smart technology and how the students use smart technology, and what the benefits and smart devices they use in everyday life. 

Further, the secondary research helped me to discover the increase in digital information worldwide and smart devices usage in developed nations. The project helped me to improve my skills in Excel sheets, making presentations and editing, gathering information, choosing the right websites and pictures suitably, working to a time frame, and designing. 

In the end, I concluded my blog by giving some safety tips, followed by a final thought.
